Gossip Girl Finale Spoilers: A Polarizing Twist ...

The Gossip Girl's finale is just days away, and speculation is running rampant as to what we can expect in the closing moments of the final chapter, when the series endgame - and titular character - are revealed at last.

It sounds like there may be more surprises in store than fans are ready for.

Regarding the much-discussed flash forward, we'll catch a glimpse at no fewer than FIVE Gossip Girl couples at an undetermined point in the not-too-distant future, according to TV Line's Michael Ausiello.

Of those five pairings, "Three future couplings will surprise you. Two won’t."

Chuck and Blair Finale Photo

Amazingly, that's not even all we have to discuss right now.

There’s apparently a twist coming our way in the final 15 minutes that may polarize Gossip Girl fans even more than Season 5's infamous and controversial Dan-Blair-Chuck triangle did.

What could that entail? And what couples end the series together? Which will be the ones we expect, and which may come as a shock? The possibilities on this show are certainly plentiful.

Gossip Girl Sneak Peek: The Usual Suspects?

In this sneak peek from "New York, I Love You XOXO," Monday's Gossip Girl series finale, Nate and Sage are looking over the evidence, considering the suspects and closing in on the mother of all mysteries.

Just who is Gossip Girl exactly? Do they know?

Apparently Jenny Humphrey, who was Sage's idol in seventh grade, is at least being talked about, but the conversation then turns to situations where Gossip Girl went easy on someone. That could be a clue.

She shut down after Chuck and Blair's accident, led Dan and Blair to Juliet after Serena was drugged, supposedly spared S before graduation. Who knows. Maybe she was a guardian angel of sorts?

With the last episode days away, Gossip Girl finale spoilers have ramped up speculation about who the title character is, who ends up together, and what the polarizing twist in the last 15 minutes could be.

In another sneak peek from "New York, I Love You XOXO," Monday's Gossip Girl series finale, Serena has found the envelope Dan clandestinely gave her at the end of this week's episode, and wonders if it's legit.

What he wrote about her, that is. Does he mean it? Or is this just another ploy?

Specifically, which Dan Humphrey is he, the one who professed his undying love for her (or so it appears) in the chapter he gave Serena, or the ruthless, conniving sellout whose work ran in Vanity Fair?

Our words, not hers, but that's the implication. Do you think he's being sincere?

Follow this link to check out the first sneak peek from the series finale, featuring Nate and Sage, if you missed that, then watch Derena's exchange and tell us what you make of it below:

With the last episode just days away, Gossip Girl finale spoilers are flying left and right, raising new theories about who ends up together, a big twist at the end, and of course, who Gossip Girl is.

In the latest clip from Gossip Girl's swan song, Georgina tries to stop Dan from deviating from her plan.

Where's he off to, and what's he about to do with his unpublished work that she disagrees with?

Watch the sneak peek from "New York, I Love You XOXO" here and see what you think ...

Two other sneak preview clips have been released in advance of the finale. In those scenes:

  • Nate and Sage pore over the evidence and discuss potential Gossip Girl suspects.
  • Dan and Serena discuss what he wrote about her, and whether it's genuine.

Clearly, all bets are off as we gear up for the 121st and final episode of the series.

In another clip from the Gossip Girl series finale, two great schemers meet for the first time.

Right after Georgina Sparks makes a shady phone call regarding Dan, Jack Bass rolls up - in a limo, natch - and asks her to join him in a scheme. Blair Waldorf recommended her, so she must be good at it.

What do you think Jack has in mind for Georgina? Watch their introduction below:

It's twisted, yes, but it's totally them ... and totally sincere.

In this latest clip from the Gossip Girl series finale, Jack Bass comes up with a new plan to help protect Blair and Chuck: Get married! Because legally, one can't be forced to testify against one's spouse.

Not the way Blair drew it up in her mind, but certainly without genuine emotion, either. Despite the unconventional circumstances, both seem wholly committed to the union that is about to go down.

Watch Chuck get down on one knee and propose below:

What do you think? Everything you never dreamed? Were you expecting more? And will their wedding go off without a hitch (or at least be enough of a success that they remain together for good)?

This is the fifth Gossip Girl finale sneak preview clip we've seen so far, probably equaling the number of sneak peeks released all season, as the CW has just remembered the show exists.

Gossip Girl Finale Preview: Stephanie Savage Teases the Last Chapter

After more than five years and 120 episodes, the last chapter of Gossip Girl airs tonight, and executive producer Stephanie Savage is here to preview some of the twists, turns, returns and reveals.

Will the Chair "endgame" live up to expectations? What about the identity of the title character? Who else will end up together? And what about the many familiar faces from the past showing up?

Here are five things to look out for when the series takes its final bow tonight:

Gossip Girl Season 6 Cast Photo

1. The reveal of Gossip Girl wasn't necessarily planned - at least not from the onset.

"When you're thinking about a finale, you go back to the pilot, you think about everybody's series arcs and think what is the premise of the show? In this case, 'Who is Gossip Girl?' is a big part of the show."

"We had a thought in the back of our minds who Gossip Girl was, but we were never sure if we were going to reveal that. Was it something the audience wanted to know, or would they rather not know?"

"We kept it very open. Then last year, we did a lot of storytelling with Gossip Girl and it felt right that this year, she would be revealed."

2. It surprised the cast members themselves, but in a good way. "The actors were really excited and surprised," Savage says. "Everyone has had many theories over the years. I think they liked it."

3. The writers agreed on which couples should end up together. "When you create a series," Savage says, "you have an idea in the back of your mind where you think everybody is going to end."

"But you have to be very open to the road the actors and characters take, which I think we really tried to be on Gossip Girl. In the end, I think I always felt I knew who I wanted to be together."

"By the time we were at the end of Gossip Girl Season 5, the writers were all united."

4. They have no regrets, about anything, unlike some of the CW show's viewers.

"There are too many things to think about what you would do differently," she says. "That's one of the good and bad things about TV, you have to keep going and you can't second guess yourself."

5. A Gossip Girl movie could maybe happen ... somehow, some way, and some day. "It's funny we've never talked about [a movie] seriously until the show was actually ending," Savage says.

"We've never had any legitimate conversations about doing a movie until we were saying goodbye. Then we said, 'We'll do a movie, Broadway show or reunion show, right?'"

"Even though we are likely to see each other again it's not like we'll all be working together again, so that's where the fantasy starts."

Does this photo, released just hours before the Gossip Girl finale, show Chuck Bass with his son?

Check out Ed Westwick as Chuck - wearing a wedding ring - and young actor Alexander Bento:

Chuck Bass and Son?

"I've said that there is a dream sequence, a flashback and a flash forward in the final episodes," executive producer Stephanie Savage says of the image, first posted by celebrity news site Us Weekly.

"Which one does this little boy belong to?" she finale's writer mused.

The cute purple bow tie is kind of a giveaway, don't you think?

Even if this is the much-rumored young Henry Bass, seen in the much-discussed flash forward, there's still the matter of Gossip Girl's identity to be discussed, as well as who else winds up together.

Five couples apparently do, and three may come as surprises.

Gossip Girl Review: The Final Chapter

It’s the end of an era. Gossip Girl concluded its final season with "New York, I Love You XOXO," an epic finale to a series closed out in classic GG style.

Over the past six seasons, loyal Gossip Girl fans have been treated to everything we could possibly want. The relationship pairings, the friendships, the glamour, the fashion, the drama and the best possible backdrop - New York City.

The finale gave us all of this one last time. Let’s discuss...

Blair and Serena in Finale

Bass Be Gone. The death of Bart was huge in “The Revengers”, but this episode, not so much. Blair and Chuck were questioned, but ultimately, his death was ruled an accident. The best part about it was the return of Desmond Harrington, who is always welcome on my TV screen.

Chair Forever. Even with the Bart drama going on, Blair and Chuck finally tied the knot! After a sweet proposal and help from Uncle Jack and the rest of their friends, the couple got married by Cyrus. These two looked absolutely stunning in their wedding attire.

The debate has been going on between Dair and Chair fans for what seems like forever. Did Blair make the right choice? Is Chuck who she is supposed to be with? After watching this episode, there is no doubt about it.

Chair Wedding Photo

Their long history has built them up to be this epic couple. Do they always measure up? Maybe not. Have there been plenty of instances that made this couple seem so wrong? Of course. But one thing is clear: These two are meant for each other. Leighton Meester and Ed Westwick have made these characters come to life and they will truly be missed.

Another reason that this fight can finally be settled between the GG Shippers is the five-year flash forward that might have been the highlight of the entire hour.

Lonely Boy & The Golden Girl. Can you ever really become one of “them?” Dan Humphrey did his best over the past six years to find his place on the UES. The main reason for doing so? His love for Serena Van Der Woodson. And, (lonely) boy, did it work out.

After leaving Serena with his final chapter, Dan found his way back in with his friends and family by revealing the identity of Gossip Girl. These two have been pivotal characters and their relationship has been so important in building the foundation of this series. It gave Serena a relatable side and it made Dan someone to envy. These two were always enjoyable as a couple (that is until their parents were married... then it just became weird).

Lonely Boy With Flowers

As beautiful as a couple that Serena and Nate were, she was meant to be with Humphrey. As a longtime fan, I was very happy to see these two finally get it together for good. I know I am not alone in that.

Back to Florida with the Swamp People? Ivy spent all season looking to take down Lily and having William by her side. What a let down to see how this turned out. Luckily, these characters didn’t take up too much of the final season, but I expected something major. What I didn’t expect was for William to be doing all of this just to get back with Lily. This was one arc that really didn’t interest me. Not even a little bit. Did any of you care about these two? Or would you rather have seen the screen time go the main characters?

Who Is Gossip Girl? One of the most important parts of the finale was the revealing of the person behind Gossip Girl. Who could it be? Jenny? Eric? Dorota? Rufus? Turns out that all of guesses had been wrong. Dan Humphrey is the man behind the mysterious blogger. Can you believe it?!?

Dan, Nate and Georgina

I was a bit surprised (my money was on Eric). But looking back, it all made sense. I expected the person behind the site to be a minor character. Someone who was always around but didn’t have a huge role. Wrong. Lonely Boy proved his position when he revealed he had been pulling the strings all along. Even Jenny knew this whole time.

The funny thing is, for a show that was so invested in the identity of this character, I found myself not even caring that much about who GG was but more about the characters. Don’t get me wrong, it was exciting to find out. But didn’t you feel more interested in where the characters were going instead of who was the blogger?

Still, Dan Humphrey! Way to go, Lonely Boy.

Flash Forward. The last few minutes of the installment flashed forward five years and showed us where our favorite Upper East Siders had ended up. Blair and Chuck happily married with an adorable son, Henry. Lily back with William. Jenny and Eric back in NYC. Nate doing extremely well with The Spectator and possibly running for mayor.

Cyrus and Eleanor still happy. Dorota still being one of the funniest background characters ever. And Dan and Serena getting married! How gorgeous did Blake Lively look in that gown? Only she could pull that off.

Chuck Bass and Son?

After Thoughts...

  • It was so nice to have Uncle Jack back. Wouldn’t have minded having him on more this season. When Chuck and him are getting along, its a great team to watch.
  • During the Rachel Bilson/Kristen Bell cameo, we got to see some familiar faces: Lola, Vanessa, Agnes and Juliet.
  • Loved, loved, loved everyone discussing who they thought Gossip Girl was. Serena thought it was Rufus for a while! This really shows that the writers have paid attention to sites like ours. You can’t really want anything more than that.
  • Jenny, Eric, and Vanessa had split second scenes. Anyone wish they would have made more of an appearance?

So, this is it. It’s really over. Monday’s will never be the same. The ride has been so much fun and this series has given us TV Fanatics something to laugh, cry, and debate about. Many thanks to Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage for a clever and enticing series that we could escape to for an hour a week.

The series finale of Gossip Girl is in the books.

After six epic seasons, the CW show has taken its final bow, and wow, from the flash forward to the big reveal and so many memorable moments, "New York, I Love You XOXO" gave us plenty to discuss.

Our Gossip Girl finale review broke down the 121st and last episode in detail. Follow the link to read that if you haven't already. Below, we take a second look at some of the top scenes from the finale.

First, there was Chuck's proposal to Blair. Uncle Jack's idea was a good one ...

... and then Chuck's (slightly rushed but nevertheless beautiful) wedding to Blair:

We also flashed way, way back to when lonely Dan first met future wife Serena ...

Then the bombshell. Gossip Girl was revealed to be ... Gossip Guy. Dan Humphrey himself was the mysterious blogger, save for that brief period in Gossip Girl Season 5 when the site was hijacked by G.

Unmasking himself at last, he tried to explain both how, and why, he pulled it off:

Where do the characters end up in 2017? Now we know, thanks to this montage!

Dan and Serena get married! Chuck and Blair have a son! Jack and Georgina got together! Lily and William reconciled after all this time! Rufus and '90s singer Lisa Loeb are dating somehow! OMG!

As for Nate? He will make a pretty great New York City mayoral candidate ...

Monday night's Gossip Girl series finale was one for the ages.

With cameos galore, two weddings, a five-year flash forward and the mother of all twists, the Stephanie Savage-penned "New York, I Love You XOXO" sent the show out in style after six seasons.

Check out our Gossip Girl finale review, along with our video tribute to some of the best scenes. Then read excerpts from her interview with TV Line, in which she discusses the episode, below:

Chuck and Blair Wedding Photo

On deciding when Dan was Gossip Girl: "I don’t think we ever had another choice in our mind. It was always just a question of were we going to reveal it or not to reveal it."

"It was unclear if knowing Gossip Girl’s identity was something fans would want. Maybe it was more fun for everyone to not know ... to speculate and come up with your own ideas."

On the plot holes that revelation might expose: "We didn’t want to lean in too heavily to that ... It was nothing that we wanted to be part of Penn Badgely’s performance as Dan."

"We didn't want the viewers actively thinking about it. We held the reins loosely and didn’t want to draw attention to the fact that one of our main characters might actually be Gossip Girl."

On Kristen Bell and Rachel Bilson: "Once we felt certain that we could do Rachel and Kristen together, it seemed like you wanted to build more for them than just having them look at their phones."

"Josh Schwartz and I came up with the idea… Having Kristen on the show was very, very special. To be able to have her onscreen was great. And to have Rachel with her was icing on the cake."

On Nate ending up single: "Well, he’s single for now. The Nate story we wanted to tell was that Dan allowed him to break the Gossip Girl story, which helped jump start The Spectator."

"He didn’t have any crazy partners or distracting girlfriends. He's very successful. We’re seeing him come into his own as a young man and a real player in the New York scene."

On Rufly not ending up together: "Obviously, Rufus and Lily together complicates the Serena and Dan dynamic. But more importantly, we felt that Rufus and Lily gave it a real college try."

On why Chair became parents: "It seemed like the ultimate coming together of their union and their future. And wanting to see that Chuck and Blair could both be good parents."

On Henry's name: "That was what Chuck renamed himself when he was shot."

On whether Chair was always endgame: "I don’t know about always, but certainly by the end of last season when we were writing our Season 5 finale. We had a sense of the endgame."

On whether Dair was ever an option: "Um… nope! [Laughs]"

Gossip Girl Round Table: "New York, I Love You XOXO"

Welcome back, once again, to TV Fanatic's final Gossip Girl Round Table Q&A discussion! Below, our panelists break down all aspects of the last Gossip Girl episode, "New York, I Love You XOXO."

In our Q&A session, TVF editor Steve Marsi and staff members Christina Tran, Leigh Raines and Courtney Morrison share their opinions on everything that went down on the season and series finale.

Weigh in with your take on the following topics after reading ours!

-------------------------------

1. What was your favorite scene or quote from the episode?

Courtney: If I'm going for the funny... definitely goes to Jack: "Come on out Blair, Uncle Jack is here to help." Other than that, I loved everyone gathered trying to figure out who was Gossip Girl.

Christina: Mad props to William for both: “Run along back to Florida and be the queen of the swamp people.” and then “You’re a lifetime movie called Nobody Gives a Damn: The Ivy Dickens Story.”

Leigh: Favorite quotes: Jack meeting Georgina. I wish these two had met sooner, their banter alone could've made a spinoff. Favorite scene was the flash forward. They used "You Got The Love" from the Sex and the City finale and that automatically gets me emotional. It was perfect to see everyone in a good place.

Steve: Hizzoner himself, Michael Bloomberg, reading his phone and saying "I thought it was Dorota." Let's just let that sink in ... they got the Mayor of New York City and one of the world's most powerful people to do that. Pretty awesome work, Stephanie. I also enjoyed the closing song, as Leigh said. Great symmetry with SATC and fittingly, Florence + The Machine did the honors in Derena's case.

Gossip Girl Final Season Round Table Logo

2. Were you surprised to find out the identity of Gossip Girl?

Courtney: Yes! I guess the signs were there but I had my money on Eric.

Christina: I was a bit surprised because I spent most of the time convinced that Jenny was behind it all. And actually, I think there would have been way less plot holes if the writers went that route.

Leigh: After reading speculation and articles and forums for the last few weeks I narrowed it down to the Humphrey family. Especially when people were saying that there was a key clue at the end of "It's Really Complicated." Dan said he's had a plan this whole time. Boom. I didn't like it at first and then I was like you know what? This is brilliant.

Steve: As the only one of the four of us to pick Dan in last week's Round Table ... I was still surprised the writers pulled the trigger on that, and pleasantly surprised. There's NO CHANCE it was planned that way from the very start, but it feels like there were definite clues dating back to Season 5 and possibly earlier.

3. Chuck and Blair got married and had a Mini-Bass. What was your favorite Chair moment?

Courtney: From this episode? The proposal by far. And seriously, how gorgeous did those two look for their wedding.

Christina: I liked the flash forward with Henry. He was adorable and I was just glad that Chair could finally get their happy ending.

Leigh: The proposal. "Chuck and Blair could never be boring." Also loved their old Hollywood kiss at Bethesda Fountain. However, the best was when Dorota said to Henry, look who it is and he screamed "Daddy" and jumped into Chuck's arms. That made me melt. Then when he was talking to Cyrus, he was looking at Blair adoringly. I wanted more of the Bass family!

Steve: I like that Chuck and Blair have a son and seem like good, happy parents. That to me says more about the long-term stability and strength of their relationship than anything.

4. In the flash forward, we learned that Serena and Dan were tying the knot. It's about time or big mistake?

Courtney: About time! These two have been at the core of the show since say one. Although, after realizing Dan was GG it seemed a little weird. But hey, he loves the girl and she loves him. Good for them!

Christina: What mistake? Serena's goal in life was to get married, and of course she ended up with the one person who was more obsessed with her than herself.

Leigh: Only Serena can decide what's right for her. They waited five years so I can only assume that they sorted all of their crap out. I think it was about time. I wish we saw some more Gossip Girl Season 1 Dan and Serena because that was them at their best. Serena doesn't care that she was written about, "remember you're nobody unless you're talked about."

Steve: She made peace with his role as Gossip Girl, and five years passed, so it's hard to call it a mistake. If they had rushed into it, that would be another story. Team Derena.

5. What was the best outfit featured in the finale?

Courtney: Toss up. Blair's wedding dress or her dress at Serena's wedding. Leighton Meester looked stunning in both.

Christina: B’s dress at the Derena wedding. I loved it!

Leigh: Blair's wedding dress and whole ensemble was beautiful. Also loved the flashback outfits, Chuck's scarf made an appearance!

Steve: Not really an outfit, but in a similar vein, Dan's buzzcut, flashback style. Feels like a lifetime and a million Muppet jokes ago. Honorable mention goes to Henry's bow tie.

6. There were blink-and-you-miss-it scenes with Jenny and Eric. Would you rather have had them come back and play a bigger role?

Courtney: I expected them to have a bigger part since their return was talked about quite a bit. I would have rather had them not return if their role was going to be that small. Did Jenny even talk?

Christina: Of course I would have loved more screen time with the younger siblings; however, the entire finale felt incredibly rushed as is. I’m not so sure how else they could have been involved.

Leigh: I definitely wanted more from Eric and little J. Rachel Bilson and Kristen Bell had more of a role, not that I'm complaining because I'm a fan of both, but we needed a little more Eric and Jenny.

Steve: It did seem a little pointless to bring them back just for that, although at least they helped end the flash forward on a happy note. However, Lisa Loeb was more noteworthy in that scene!

7. Rate the Gossip Girl finale on a scale of 1-10.

Courtney: I always want to give a series finale such a high rating. I thoroughly enjoyed the episode and discovering that everyone was doing so well in the future. There were definite plot holes, but there have been gaping holes in this show from the beginning. I'm going with a solid 8.

Christina: 5! It fell so short of what it could have been. Sure, there were plenty of answers and resolutions, but it just wasn’t what I was expecting. I'm going to pretend Gossip Girl Season 2 was the end.

Leigh: I'm gonna give it a 10. I'm SURE I will get a lot of arguments because you can never please a whole audience, but they wrapped it up the best they could and we said goodbye. XOXO.

Steve: I'd go much lower, but you can't punish the finale for some of the Season 4-6 episodes that preceded it, so I'll say 9. On its own merit, "New York, I Love You XOXO" was a lot of fun.

The dethroning of a Queen B is a delicate art. It's all about the right place, the right time, and the right details.

Jenny Humphrey learned all the tricks of the trade in Gossip Girl Season 1 Episode 13.

Pregnancy Tests

The beauty of a show like Gossip Girl is that it glamourized all of that elite, popular, beautiful people nonsense, but still managed to turn around and drop a bomb about the beauty of a little thing called Karma.

Blair has done a lot of wrong to a lot of people. It wasn't a surprise people were waiting to watch her fall. The difference between a Gossip Girl pregnancy blast about Serena and Blair is that Serena would turn it around and rudely joke to someone's face for getting up in her business. Blair would crumble like a paper bag and lash out at the only people who were there for her.

Serena knew how to handle rumors way better than Blair ever did.

As for what it takes to dethrone the Queen? Chuck Bass is fluent in Revenge, like should team up with Emily Thorne kind of good. You just don't cross a crazy dude like Chuck Bass. I had almost forgotten it was Chuck who sent to tip in to GG and not Jenny. Jenny was the one who told Nate. The girl knew how to use the information for the ultimate damage.

What's the difference between gossip and scandal? So glad you asked. Anyone can commit a minor indiscretion and generate a day's worth of buzz, but in order for gossip to birth a true scandal it requires the right person to be in the wrong place. Take one "it" girl on a pedestal, add a crowd eager to see her fall, and give them the means to knock her down.

Lest you think this episode was all about pregnancy scares, nasty revenge, Gossip Girl blasts, best friend fights, and scathing insults delivered by Chuck...there were a few sweet moments too.

moments within the episode. For starters, one of the best Serena and Blair friendship scenes. When Blair was at the heliport and Serena told her to stay and fight because she'd fight with her, collective best friends around the world were surely inspired. They also probably wished they had access to be whisked away by private jet during their own scandals.

Dan trying to tell Serena the whole episode that he loved her was so adorable. The average 17-year-old guy who saw a picture on social media of his girlfriend buying a pregnancy test would probably do one of two things: piss his pants while running away or immediately start bargaining with MTV for a spot on the next season of Teen Mom.

Dan not only went to show Serena his support but he dropped his first L-bomb just to show her how much he would stand by her side. Then he spent the rest of the episode trying to be supportive of her fight with her best friend, while still trying to tell her that he loved her. Men today could learn a thing of two from Gossip Girl season 1 Dan.

Lastly there was a little sweet Rufus action thrown in to give viewers some faith that not adults in Gossip Girl land were batshit crazy like Lily when she said yes to marrying Bart Bass. Watching a grown man re-learn to date is like watching a baby polar bear take its first steps. So darn cute.

How do you feel about "A Thin Line Between Chuck and Nate?" Was Blair's dethroning pretty epic or what? Watch Gossip Girl online and weigh in below!

Gossip Girl Rewatch: Desperately Seeking Serena

In Gossip Girl Season 1 Episode 15, we met someone more conniving than Blair and with a bigger appetite for partying than Serena Van Der Woodsen.

I know, it seemed impossible right? And then we got to know the elusive Georgina Sparks...

Evil G

Serena and Chuck were right to be afraid. Georgina, a role that was originally offered to O.C. alum Mischa Barton, was out for blood and there was only one person she wanted it from.

For the majority of the episode it just seemed like Georgina was a wild girl who was desperate for her former wing-woman. At some point she almost seemed a little into Serena. But towards the end, it became obvious there was a dark secret between the two former besties. Whatever it was, if it's too scandalous to share with Chuck than it's probably something Olivia Pope couldn't even fix.

Serena: This is not about last year Georgina, it's about last night!
Georgina: Like you are some innocent bystander who walked in on...
Serena: I'M NOT TALKING ABOUT IT GEORGINA, OKAY?! And neither are you. If I going down, you're going down with me. In the meantime, stay out of my life.
Georgina: I don't need anyone in my life who doesn't wanna be there.
Serena: Then we're agreed.

It seems logical to everyone watching that Serena should just say "Hey Dan, there's this ex-friend trying to come back into my life and she represents a part of me that I left in the past and would like to stay in the past." It's the mature way to handle it, but she was 17 when this happened, and even younger when the scandalous incident occurred.

Dan being so madly in love with Serena, probably would've been on her side. Then again, there's also the judgmental side of Dan who would probably then want to know what the incident was and worry that maybe Serena's past wasn't so far away after all. There were several incidents where Dan judged Serena based on her past, so why would she want him to find out the worst thing she'd ever done?

So fine, I understood Serena's reasoning. The flaw in Serena's plan was that she was emotional and not a plotter like Blair. Sure she may brush off gossip better, but when true drama hit Serena, she tended to lose it. Chuck tried his best to contain things, but the two dopes couldn't even coordinate their lies and stories.

We all know what happened when Dan became increasingly frustrated and pushed away by Serena, but we'll get to that in the next rewatch!

Blair was in great spirits for this episode. She had her minions back temporarily for the purpose of a massive takedown where everyone's academic careers were at stake. Nothing unites former enemies faster than the threat of a new, bigger enemy. It was SAT time and everyone was focused on super-student Nelly Yuki. The girls needed to eliminate the threat.

Jenny and new Jenny (already forgot her name) focused on finding Jenny a King to her Queen when she assumed she would take over the Constance hierarchy. We met Asher, Asher sucked up to Rufus, and Jenny's probationary period in the Humphrey household loosened up ever so slightly.

Elsewhere, Nate and Vanessa started their random romance much to the chagrin of Blair, and sorta Dan. I don't know, it always seemed kind of random but I didn't hate them together. I guess I just didn't care all that much.

So what was your first impression of Georgina? Was she all you expected and more? Vote below and hit the comments!

Gossip Girl Rewatch: The Blair Bitch Project

"The Blair Bitch Project" kicked off the back end of Gossip Girl Season 1 and boy was it fantastic.

As much drama as was laced throughout the first season, there was something about these later episodes that were a real kick in the pants. Between the high stakes cattiness between Blair and her former minions and the X-rated gifts Serena kept receiving, Gossip Girl Season 1 Episode 14 was on fire.

After Blair's dethroning in Gossip Girl Season 1 Episode 13, which 75% of you voted as epic, she went into hiding. I do so love Blair's Audrey Hepburn dreams and enjoyed when this episode kicked off with an ode to Breakfast at Tiffany's.

Blair knew her biggest adversary in returning to school unscathed would be Jenny. Unfortunately she was right and her dream of making it back to the halls of Constance without any heckling or dramatics was blown to bits with the perfect aim of Jenny's yogurt bomb. Don't people go to the principal for that kind of stunt nowadays? Nevermind, they got away with almost anything back then.

Serena convinced Blair that if she was just nice, everything would fall back into place. It was a noble idea on Serena's part, but completely unrealistic. Those girls never played nice, least of all Blair. Serena must've been hallucinating on behalf of all the Humphrey sex she was having.

Well Blair got a good jab in by hijacking Little J's 15th birthday party. The Jenny cake and childish decorations were perfect. Even B couldn't have predicted that Jenny would've been caught wearing Hazel's mom's stolen one of a kind Valentino. Is Penelope that desperate for Nate that she would make Hazel forgive a 15K debt for his attention? I mean it is Chace Crawford, but still...

Lest anyone think Serena's life was all hearts and flowers, she and Eric had to move in with the Bass family over break. Becoming Chuck's stepsister? Not ideal.

Serena: Okay let's get one thing straight. Our parents might be insisting on blending our households but I am not your sister. I do not share any of your DNA, nor do I ever wish to.
Chuck: Then I suggest you get new hand towels.

However, Chuck ended up being the one person Serena could run to when her perfect world was about to get shattered by the return of someone named "G." Of course, now we all know who G is and just how dangerous she could be, but back then she was an exciting mystery who sent gifts of porn, champagne, and cocaine.

As we anxiously await the arrival of one Miss Georgina Sparks, let's vote on World War B. Whose side were you on anyway?

Taylor Momsen: Naked on New Album Cover!

Jenny Humphrey who?!?

Granted, Taylor Momsen shed her wholesome Gossip Girl image as soon as this CW favorite went off the air in 2011.

But she truly leaves it way, way, way behind on the cover of "Going to Hell," the upcoming album from her band The Pretty Reckless.

Heck, Momsen would put old, scandalous, sex-crazed Serena to shame with the pose, which features this singer exposing her bare backside and including with it a cross-like arrow down her back.

See for yourself and react now:

Of course, Taylor is ALSO nude in the group's music video for "Under the Water."

Now that Georgina had her mind made up, Serena Van Der Woodsen's life and sanity was just not safe. Hell hath no fury like a Georgina Sparks scorned!

Gossip Girl Season 1 Episode 16 introduced all the mayhem Georgie was about to wreak on our Serena. It also focused on one of the side characters we haven't spent much time with: Eric Van Der Woodsen.

If you thought Georgina's coming home presents were wild, they were nothing compared to the video she slipped Serena after a two week hiatus. i can remember watching this episode, being so desperate to know what was on that video, and FLOORED when Serena dropped that bomb at the end. Before I streaming online was even commonplace, I stayed up for hours trying to find "Woman on the Verge" aka Gossip Girl Season 1 Episode 17.

Before we get to Serena's big bomb, there's the end of the Jenny/Blair feud. Let's face it, Jenny got lucky with some information that gave her a little bit of power but she was going up against a pro. Blair knows how to play, she practically invented the game. Little did Jenny know as she sat high on her Asher status throne that everything would unravel because of the one person she ever really could call a friend: Eric Van Der Woodsen.

I would say that the moment I knew Jenny was gonna get taken down was actually when she accused Eric of having a crush on her. I was like "girl, you have truly gone too far." I don't know what it was, maybe the condescending tone she said it in just showed how darn naive she had gotten and I knew deep down she would get pummeled by the end of the episode.

[to Eric] Oh my God, wait, do you have a crush on me or something? Don't be embarrassed, it's totally understandable, and not that unexpected actually. I'm flattered, it's just, my heart belongs to Asher. I've gotta go, but text me, okay?

Jenny

I approached the watching of this episode with the fact in mind that Dan is Gossip Girl. So if Dan was GG why would he out his own sister's boyfriend online and then refuse to print anymore until he got proof? Well, because he was smart (and ruthless.) Dan knew first he had to post on GG to get Jenny's attention, done. Then by demanding proof, he knew that Jenny would have to believe him. He went about it in a harsh manner, but he did it to ultimately protect his sister from getting more hurt in the end.

Dan just didn't know that Jenny was so desperate for status that she would be a glorified beard. By far the best part of the episode was Blair showing up to Jenny's party looking flawless and subtly threatening Asher. The reason I loved it was because she decided she wasn't even going to go public with the evidence because she actually cared about Eric, unlike Asher. Then Eric turned up, came out of the closet with Blair's help, and they took Asher down together.

Back to Georgina and the epic-ness of Serena's "I killed someone" confession...this was the Serena spiral everyone was waiting for. I did not in a million years think those were the words that would come out of Serena's mouth. How shocked were you by Serena's confession?
