17 Men in Suits Who Make Us Swoon

$

Is it the man who makes the suit or the suit that makes the man? Either way, these characters certainly know how to wear one.

In a world that’s turned towards more casual-wear, there’s still nothing quite like a well dressed man in a suit.

Whether it's their career that dictates the suit or simply their personal choice, it’s clear that not all suits (or the men in them) are created equal.

Check out these 17 fine looking gentlemen who grace our TV screens in impeccable suits that make us swoon.

1. Harvey Specter - Suits

Harvey specter suits
Harvey's first words of advice to protoge, Mike Ross, was to go out and buy some real, well-fitted suits. “People respond to how we're dressed, so like it or not this is what you have to do.” Harvey is rarely without his business suits. They are custom tailored three-piece suits, generally pinstripes with flapped pockets, double vents, and wider peak lapels that accentuate those amazing shoulders. Harvey Specter is always handsome but it's his choice in suits that exudes power and confidence.

2. Patrick Jane on The Mentalist

Patrick jane the mentalist
Patrick Jane was rarely seen without his three piece suit over the seven season of The Mentalist. It was his signature look with the vest, no tie and usually in shades of blue. Why? The color blue is believed to convey a warm and trustworthy feeling. Getting people to trust him certainly made it easier for Jane to play his mentalist mind games…it also really brought out his blue eyes!

3. Agent Phil Coulson - Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

Agent phil coulson agents of shield
It doesn't matter if he's fighting the bad guys from his office or in the jungle, Agent Coulson always wears his suit. The leader of S.H.I.E.L.D. can seem a little uptight but that's because he's a career government man. Coulson likes tradition and consistency. Showrunner Jed Whedon says “No matter what the situation, Coulson feels most at ease when in his suit.” And it shows!

4. Ricky Ricardo - I Love Lucy

Patrick jane the mentalist
In the 1950s, I Love Lucy was the biggest hit on TV and although many watched to see what Lucy wore, it was difficult to miss her handsome husband. Ricky rocked those broad-shouldered suit jackets with a V shape that was close on the hip, had straight fronts, and frequently a TV fold pocket square. The look was popular with the Big Band leaders of the time and rumor has it that many of Ricky's outfits came straight out of actor Desi Arnaz's closet.

5. Derek Morgan – Criminal Minds

Derek morgan criminal minds
Derek Morgan can be sensitive. Derek Morgan can be one badass cop. But as hot as this crime fighter looks in a tight t-shirt and a bullet proof vest, he's even more stunning in a suit. Take a look and just try and tell us we're wrong.

6. Rick Castle - Castle

Rick castle castle
Rick Castle wears a lot of button down shirts and blazers but it's on the rare occasion that we actually see Castle wearing a suit…and that's a darn shame because he is so damn handsome when he's dressed well! The show needs more special events so we can see Castle looking his absolute best more often.

13 Shows Completely Lacking in Parental Supervision

$

It's no secret that in teen TV dramas, the parents don't always play a large role in the storytelling.

Some shows, though, are completely lacking in parental supervision, while others have parents that are virtually absent altogether.

From Pretty Little Liars to Skins, let's take a look at some of the TV shows that had the worst parents ever.

1. The Vampire Diaries

A tvd gathering
The CW's The Vampire Diaries may have some of the worst parents on TV. Sure, Caroline's mom was wonderful, but let's face it, Caroline was allowed to do whatever she wanted. Matt's mother hooked up with his best friend and left him to live alone most of the time. Tyler's parents have major issues, and don't even get us started on Elena's birth parents. Did these kids ever go to school unless it was a decade dance? Where was the parental supervision, the school staff, Child Protective Services, and the police for that matter?

2. Pretty Little Liars

Liars listen intently as ali tells all
The lack of parenting in Pretty Little Liars is astounding. The parents actually do play a central role in the show, but the girls are constantly running off into the woods at night, leaving the house to meet up at the drop of a dime, and landing themselves in life or death situations. This wouldn't be possible if the parents layed down the law. And let's not forget that some moms think it's cool to run off to Austria with their new boyfriend to live their dreams when their son shows psychotic tendencies. Looking at you, Ella.

3. Teen Mom

Teen mom og banner
I'm just going to let this one speak for itself.

4. Teen Wolf

Teen wolf gang
The parents in this show freaking rock. It's one of the few teen dramas that actually have parents that are integral to the story and you root for. That being said, they still let their supernatural creature teenagers do whatever they want. How do all of their parents just let them go running off in the middle of the night like that? I will excuse all of the parents in this show because I like them just as much as the teenagers the series is about.

5. 90210

Young stars
The family drama on this show is insane. From partying to doing drugs, what didn't these high schoolers get away with? They probably could have even gotten away with murder. Oh, wait ...

6. Gossip Girl

The clique
When Serena, Blair and the rest of the gang weren't drinking underage in public, they were either living alone while their mom was out of the country, running hotels on their own or trying to scheme against their own loved ones. Basically, they behaved like 30-year-olds with the mentality of high schoolers.

19 Ladies Who Tamed TV's Bad Boys

We've heard all about TV's Bad Boys.

We all know exactly who they are and how sexy it is to fall in love with a bad boy.

But let's talk about the amazing ladies that tame the wild men. The ladies who charm them, show them kindness, and teach them how to be great guys.

Here are just a few of those amazing ladies and how they made a bad boy go good!

Don't see your favorite? Add them in the comments section!

1. Emma Swan, Once Upon a Time

Emma swan once upon a time
Captain Hook was a pirate, living by his own code, never caring for anyone around him. That is, until he became captivated by the savior, Emma Swan. Her initial dismissal of him forced him to take a look at himself and find something in him that Emma would be attracted to. It turns out, Emma didn’t really change anything about Killian Jones, but her feelings for him unlocked the loving and heroic side of this one-time villain who eventually stole her heart.

2. Rory Gilmore, Gilmore Girls

Rory gilmore gilmore girls
Logan Huntzberger benefitted greatly from his romance with the youngest Gilmore. She was the first girl to make him settle down, she stood by his side when he nearly died skydiving, and they successfully navigated a long-distance relationship. In fact, when we last saw Logan he was breaking up with Rory because SHE wasn’t ready for marriage. This is one guy truly went good for a Gilmore.

3. Blair Waldorf, Gossip Girl

Blair waldorf gossip girl
Who better to tame a bad boy than a bad girl? While Chuck played games with Blair, she could easily one-up him, something that he only became more attracted to. While their road to walking down the aisle was full of devious twists and turns, they finally settled down together, and at the very least, dropped their bad behavior when together. But the rest of the world? We’re sure they’re messing with anyone who gets in their way, together.

4. Joey Potter, Dawson's Creek

Joey potter dawsons creek
Joey and Dawson made sense. Best friends, movie buffs, and they both shared the same enormous vocabulary that no teenager ACTUALLY has. When she caught the eye of Pacey Witter, classic screw up, there was no denying their chemical and emotional attraction. Pacey went from being the guy who slept with his English teacher to being an unrealistic expectation for girls everywhere as his romance with Joey truly made him a changed man.

5. Taylor Townsend, The O.C.

Taylor townsend the oc
After his tumultuous romance with bad girl Marissa Cooper ended, Ryan Atwood was in a dark place, ready to fall off the map, which wasn’t great news for those who loved the Chino bad-boy. But Taylor stuck by Ryan, being his friend and the strong presence in his life when he needed it most. She had her own things to deal with, like an awful ex-husband who was literally ruining her life, but she and Ryan stuck together, and the friends would soon become much more than that, their mature romance bringing out the best in them both. This insecure girl fixed a very broken man, and herself in the process.

6. Zoe Hart, Hart of Dixie

Zoe hart hart of dixie
This doctor was the cure for broken Bluebellian, Wade Kinsella! She moved to Alabama to become a better doctor but in the process, she made the town playboy a better man. Wade fell hard for Zoe, and dropped his immature player ways to win her heart, eventually becoming a successful businessman and suitor for the New York City transplant.

It's wedding season!

Everyone loves a great wedding; the romance, the heartfelt words, the chance to celebrate love.

But what about the awesome parties that go with the wedding?!

This is a list that celebrates the best receptions, the ones that we wish we'd crashed, just so that we could celebrate along with some of our favorite TV families!

From the sentimental to the strange, here are some of the television wedding receptions we wish we'd crashed!

Don't see your favorite? Add it in the comments!

1. Mary and Francis, Reign

Mary and francis reign
Forget William and Kate! This is the REAL royal wedding we wish we had a seat to attend. The food! The dancing! The falling flowers! This reception was royal romance at its finest.

2. Mitch and Cam, Modern Family

Pepper plans a wedding
Any guest of a wedding that had to stop and start three times before it was moved to a picturesque country club would have been out of their mind with frustration. But one look at those happy grooms and listening to Claire speak about love would have been the best reason to be in attendance. We would have certainly been sporting big smiles!

3. April and Andy, Parks and Recreation

April and andy parks and recreation
We’d have made a real cake and shown up for April and Andy’s surprise house party wedding. They served pizza rolls and whatever else their guests brought and. Mouserat performed. And oh how we wish we’d had the chance to talk to Andy’s grandma. Our invitation clearly got lost.

4. Howard and Bernadette, The Big Bang Theory

Howard and bernadette the big bang theory
Rooftop party with the coolest nerds on the block? We’re in. We’d have become ordained and been extra ministers at their wedding. In fact, that probably could have been our in. Plus, Howard and Bernadette are just fantastic.

5. Dwight and Angela, The Office

Dwight and angela the office
Any wedding that takes place on graves is bound to be a lot of fun. Dwight and Angela sealed the deal and danced the night away at Schrute Farms with all their friends from Dunder Mifflin, old and new. We really just wish we could have snuck up behind Michael and heard him say, “That’s what she said,” at least once or twice.

6. Bones and Booth, Bones

Bones and booth bones
Is there anyone who didn’t wish they had a ticket to one of the most painfully awaited weddings, one that felt like it took nine years to plan? Oh wait… it did. Between Cyndi Lauper singing love songs, vows that would make anyone weep, and all the champagne going around, is there any reason we wouldn’t have crashed?

TV shows are known for having a lot of drama.

There's times when the drama gets a little too much for some characters and they lash out.

It's their way of venting their frustration.

We've compiled some of the best slaps on television.

1. Momma Vanderwaal Slaps Alison - Pretty Little Liars

Miss vanderwaal slaps alison pretty little liars
Remember when everyone thought Mona was dead and that Ali killed her? It was only a matter of time before someone slapped Alison, but I kind of felt sorry for her.

2. Victoria Lays Down The Law - Revenge

Victoria lays down the law revenge
Revenge was known for showing the glitz and glamour of The Hamptons, but it was also great at showing just how much Victoria Grayson loved to make everyone listen to her every word.

3. Tyrion Slaps Joffrey - Game of Thrones

Tyrion slaps joffrey game of thrones
Joffrey was always a wicked person, so viewers worldwide LOVED when his uncle Tyrion gave him a good old Westeros slap.

4. Sutton Slaps Emma - The Lying Game

Sutton slaps emma the lying game
Remember The Lying Game? It was better then Pretty Little Liars, but got cut short in Season 2. Sutton was not impressed with Emma stepping into her life for too long.

5. Santana Slaps Finn - Glee

Santana slaps finn glee
Santana and Finn made a cute couple, but Santana was not someone to be messed with.

6. Elena Slaps Stefan - The Vampire Diaries

Elena slaps stefan the vampire diaries
Elena loves slapping the Salvatore brothers. Stefan may not have been in the right frame of mind, but Elena seemed to think the back of her hand would knock some sense into him.

13 Best Vacations Ever Taken on TV

$

The sun is shining. The weather is warm and we're ready for a little adventure.

But where to?

Even our fictional favorites need a break from the norm every now and then.

Need a holiday? Our TV friends have plenty of ideas.

There's surfing on Hawaii or playing princess at Disney. We've got Wyoming hunting trips, girlfriends in Paris and days spent lounging on the beach in the Hamptons.

But beware of the pitfalls of going topless, shrinkage, and bad hair days!

So get ready for an epic get-a-away and check out our 13 favorite vacation episodes on TV.

1. Friends - London, Baby!

Friends london baby
The Friends flew off to London for Ross and Emily’s wedding in one of TV’s most epic trips. Ross said Rachel’s name at the altar instead of Emily's (Oops!), Monica and Chandler began a romantic relationship, and Joey was the best tourist ever! We’re so happy he insisted on that hat. London, baby!

2. The Good Wife - Wyoming

A romantic vacation the good wife s6e16
It was really more of a working vacation when Kurt brought Diane along on a hunting retreat in Wyoming with his staunch Republican friends. She hoped to endure small talk with the wives at the spa and figure out how to nab a big money client for the firm. Unfortunately she mistook somebody's call girl for their wife!

But what made this vacation great for viewers was the pro-life/pro-choice debate between R. D. and Diane. Rarely do we get to see such emotionally charged subjects handled with such intelligence...and on vacation, too.

3. The Brady Bunch - Hawaii

The brady bunch hawaii
The Brady Bunch got around. There were the Grand Canyon episodes, as well as a trip to an amusement park, but our favorite Brady vacation was their trip to Hawaii. Over three episodes, Greg nearly drowned in a surfing accident, a tarantula almost scared Peter to death, Don Ho played the ukulele, and the desire to place a cursed tiki in its ancestral cave lead the boys to becoming captives of Vincent Price! What more could we ask for from a vacation?

4. Royal Pains - Cuba

Royal pains cuba
You could say that every day on Royal Pains was a vacation, as most of the series took place summering in the Hamptons, but that didn't stop members of HankMed from heading out to other exotic locales. When Boris' health took a turn, Hank and Evan ended up on their way to Cuba. Yes, we believe the episode was actually filmed in Puerto Rico as the ban on travelling to Cuba was still in effect, but we still thought this was one of Royal Pains more intriguing trips.

5. Full House - Disney World

Full house disney world
Even the title, "The House Meets the Mouse," was adorable. The trip was inevitable. Where else would you take the cutest kids on TV for vacation? Danny proposed to Vicky, Jesse and Joey ended up at the bottom of a shark tank, and Michelle was named Princess for the Day!

6. Modern Family - Hawaiian Wedding

Modern family hawaiian wedding
After a bunch of airport mishaps, the entire Pritchett/Dunphy clan finally made their way to Hawaii. Though the comedic missteps hardly stopped there, it was Phil giving Claire the wedding of her dreams in a vow renewal ceremony that made this vacation episode most memorable.

13 Horrible Characters We Eventually Grew to Love

Sometimes our favorite TV characters are the ones we absolutely hated when we first saw them on our screens.

Maybe they were incredibly annoying or rude, or maybe they were flat-out evil. But as their shows went on and we got to know them, or when they ended up getting shiny new souls, we found that we couldn't help but love them.

From vampires to tough bosses, here are 13 horrible characters we eventually grew to love!

1. Spike, Buffy the Vampire Slayer

Spike buffy the vampire slayer
Spike showed up in Buffy the Vampire Slayer Season 2 as a pretty nasty villain who was dead set on killing Buffy, but along the way, we saw that even he could show compassion. Plus, he had some amazing one-liners and that killer blonde hair.

2. Alex Karev, Grey's Anatomy

Alex karev greys anatomy
Remember when Alex was a total jerk? This guy did not make a good first impression, but we got the chance to watch him grow up, fall in love, and learn from his mistakes. In fact, of every character on Grey's Anatomy, he's probably the one who has changed the most.

3. Mellie Grant, Scandal

Unhappy mellie
Oh, Mellie Grant. Even though she was really the one being wronged, she was our villain when it came to Liv and Fitz's scandalous relationship – and she didn't exactly make herself likeable. But she grew on us as we got to know her better, and now she's maybe one of the more likable characters on the show.

4. Jaime Lannister, Game of Thrones

Jaime lannister game of thrones
Game of Thrones' Jaime Lannister has done some despicable things (like, dispicable), but he's another character we grew to love as we saw his softer side.

5. Louis Litt, Suits

Louis litt suits s5e7
When we first met Louis Litt, he was clearly just an awful guy. But now that we've made it to Suits Season 6, we've had the chance to see him prove how loyal and thoughtful he can be.

6. Paris Geller, Gilmore Girls

Paris geller gilmore girls
She started out as Rory's clear adversary, a brash, mean girl who always had to be on top. Paris Geller kept many of those characteristics, but we eventually saw her softer side, especially as she and Rory became close friends and college roommates.

23 TV Divas We Secretly Admire

There's nothing like a diva to add life your favorite TV show.

No matter how evil they might be, there's always a purpose behind what they do. Some just want to be the center of attention, some just love the drama, and some just want what they want when they want it. Who doesn't want that?

Love them, hate them, or love to hate them, here are 23 divas we secretly admire.

1. Endora - Bewitched

Endora bewitched
No one could make an entrance like Samantha’s flamboyant mom. Her colorful clothes and outrageous makeup were the best, but she was not a nice person, at least when it came to Darrin. She was his worst nightmare, and sometimes Samantha’s too. Still, her makeup and outfits were divine. If only we looked so good with bright, blue eyeshadow!

2. Cookie Lyon - Empire

Cookie lyon empire
This tough-talking matriarch of the Lyon family knows what she wants, and will do whatever it takes to get it, even if it means manipulating her own kids. If you get in her way, watch out! No one can top her sassy mouth and spirit. And her style? Let’s just say it’s diva-tastic!

3. Cat Grant - Supergirl

Cat grant supergirl
Cat’s all that and more! She’s self-centered, arrogant, domineering, and mean. She’s got all the snark one could ever desire, and she’s got the looks to prove it!. Nothing and no one will stand in her way to get what she wants and deserves. It’s all about Cat, and that’s the way it should be!

4. Alexis Carrington - Dynasty

Alexis carrington dynasty
Her clothes were impeccable (she rocked those shoulder pads), her tastes divine, and she brought a whole new meaning to the words vindictive and manipulative. Dahling, no one can come close to this grande dame of divas.

5. Gabrielle Solis - Desperate Housewives

Gabrielle solis desperate housewives
A former top model turned trophy wife, Gabrielle showed us that living in the suburbs doesn't have to keep the fabulous down. She reeked with attitude and wasn’t afraid to let it all out when necessary. When she wanted something, she got it, including her fabulously hunky gardener.

6. Angela Channing - Falcon Crest

Angela channing falcon crest
It’s best not to mess with this matriarch and head of the Falcon Crest wineries. She was a ruthless businesswoman who made things happen and wouldn't let anyone or anything stand in the way of success.

17 Thanksgiving Dinners That Definitely Weren't Ours

Thanksgiving is almost here and we can't think of a better way to celebrate than to reminisce about some of our favorite Thanksgiving dinners!

Some were bad, some were good; others were good because they were so bad. All of them cemented themselves in television history as staples for Thanksgiving viewing.

From the awkward to the over-the-top, here are some of our favorite memorable Thanksgiving meals!

1. You Just Got Slapped, How I Met Your Mother

You just got slapped how i met your mother
On, "Slapsgiving," the countdown was on for Barney to receive one of the five slaps he had earned after losing a bet about whether or not Robin was in a porn movie. (She was just a Canadian pop-star!) Throughout dinner, Barney panics about Marshall’s every movie, waiting for the slap. Meanwhile Robin, who has just broken up with Ted, has brought a date to Thanksgiving dinner and he’s just a little older, but Ted sees him as an old man throughout the evening. After Barney finally receives his slap, Marshall leads the gang in the lovely tune, “You Just Got Slapped.” Everybody saw it, and everybody laughed and clapped.

2. She Gives Good Parent, Crazy Ex-Girlfriend

Thanksgiving dinner crazy ex girlfriend
On "My First Thanksgiving with Josh!," Rebecca is invited to the big Filipino feast, and she’s determined to give “good parent” to Josh’s parents and make them love her more than they love his current girlfriend, Valencia. Filipino food doesn’t agree with Rebecca and she lands herself in the bathroom, where she has to decide between pooping or listening to Josh have sex with Valencia. Maybe she should have just flown to New York and watched the dog show with her mother.

3. A Braverman Family Thanksgiving, Parenthood

A braverman family thanksgiving parenthood
Wouldn’t we all want to spend Thanksgiving with the Braverman clan? On "Happy Thanksgiving," Adam is stressed out, Julia just wants to make a good pie, Sarah just had a big fight with her boss/boyfriend, and Crosby is desperately trying to impress his girlfriend’s mom. After an awkward prayer at the dinner table, dinner goes off without a hitch, and the Braverman kids find themselves dancing in the kitchen, once again, making us all wish our families were this functional.

4. Jack Tells His Mom He's Gay, Will & Grace

Jack tells his mom hes gay will and grace
It’s hard to believe, but Jack STILL hasn’t told his family that he’s gay! On "Homo for the Holidays," when Jack discovers that his mother is coming for Thanksgiving, he asks his friends to help him with his straight charade. Will, Grace, and Karen all think that he needs to come clean about his sexuality. It turns out that Jack’s mother has a secret of her own to share at dinner…Jack’s father isn’t who he thinks he is!

5. Hanksgiving, New Girl

Hanksgiving new girl
Jess really likes Paul, so she invites him to spend Thanksgiving with the gang on, "Thanksgiving." She gets the last turkey in America, names it Hank, and then realizes that she has no idea how to cook a turkey. She enlists Schmidt’s help in making Thanksgiving a little more sexy, but the gang ends up smoked out of their apartment. It’s no problem though, because Jess has a key to the neighbor’s apartment. They prepare the feast there and are ready to have a great meal together…until Paul finds their neighbor dead in the bathroom. This goes down as not only the most memorable dinner on New Girl, but also as one of the best installments the series has ever had.

6. Food Fight at Carla's, Cheers

Food fight at carlas cheers
When Diane discovers that many members of the Cheers family don’t have plans for Thanksgiving, she suggests that they all spend the holiday having dinner at Carla’s new home on, "Thanksgiving Orphans." The gang agrees, and plans to have the best Thanksgiving ever, complete with an appearance by Vera, Norm’s never-seen wife. Naturally, the dinner doesn’t quite go as planned, and a food fight ensues, and just as the audience is FINALLY about to get a good look at Vera, she takes a pie to the face.

14 Shows That Alienated Their Fan Base

Don't you just hate it when your favorite TV show becomes one of the worst?

When you invest so much time into the characters and the world they live in, you can get easily annoyed if the show changes things up and not in a good way.

It sucks, but it happens. Some of the shows on the list have been off the air for quite a few years, but we still feel very strongly about what went wrong.

Scroll down for the full list.

1. Arrow

Arrow
The constant back and forth between Olicity got old real quick. The tension of working in life or death situations every single day with the person you love couldn’t have been an easy task. Taking time away from what is meant to be an action show and making it a daytime soap was the death knell for the couple. Now, that’s not to say they won’t reunite in the series finale. Any earlier and there’s bound to be a whole host of fans who get even more pissed with the show.

2. The Walking Dead

The walking dead
The Walking Dead has always been a violent show, but the Season 7 premiere really went overboard when new villain, Negan, murdered both Glenn and Abraham in grisly fashion. We’re talking heads being smashed to smithereens and eyes popping out of heads. The episode served as one of the show’s highest rated, but then the backlash sent the ratings downwards and it’s currently hitting multi-year lows.

3. True Blood

True blood
True Blood was always a series that was over the top. Initially, it was about vampires and shapeshifters, but it then started introducing werewolves, fairies and witches. It took what many loved about the show and completely ruined it. It resulted in one of the worst series finales in the history of television. Sookie ending up with neither Bill, or Eric was just pointless and a slap in the face to the fans who stuck with the show.

4. Empire

Empire
Empire was a HUGE hit when it first hit the air. Following the world of the music industry, it made us fall in love with the Lyon family, who struggled to keep their high profile by staying on the straight and narrow. After ratings swelled throughout its inaugural run, producers opted to have pretty much every star on the planet appear. It took away valuable time from the characters who weren’t that fleshed out to begin with. Season 3 is trying to right that wrong, but the show is hitting new lows every week in the ratings.

5. Sleepy Hollow

Sleepy hollow
When you think of the TV adaptation of Sleepy Hollow, you think of Tom Mison’s Ichabod Crane and Nicole Beharies’ Abby Mills. Right?! You can only imagine how shocked fans were when Abby departed the show for good at the end of Season 3. Fans made their voices heard and claimed they would be steering clear of a potential fourth season if the duo was not intact. Fox, surprisingly renewed the show for a fourth season with a new lead to replace Abby. Will it last the season?

6. Gossip Girl

Gossip girl
Most teen dramas have a knack for all of the key players sleeping with each other at some point. It’s sort of what happens when the writers are running low on ideas. If you’re a Gossip Girl fan, you are probably SUPER protective of Chuck and Blair, so I really feel bad that you guys had to endure Blair and Dan becoming a short-term thing. In the end, all became right when Chuck and Blair got married, while Dan returned Serena. I bet Serena and Blair are still arguing about it right now.

There's nothing like a little good news to raise the spirits!

With the news Katie Cassidy will be returning to Arrow Season 6 (and appearing in a couple more episodes of Arrow Season 5) as the "evil" Laurel Lance of Earth-2, we were doing a happy dance.

And with a happy dance comes the desire to share the moment. Why does are we so excited she'll be back weekly?

Check out the photos below to see if you can figure it out.

1. Katie Has Skills

Katie has skills
Katie has a lot of skills. Not only can she act, she's model gorgeous and has a lifestyle and fashion website, TomboyKC.com, with her best friend. Her hair looks amazing in this photo, right?

2. Katie Uses Her Celebrity to Raise Public Awareness

Katie uses her celebrity to raise public awareness
Katie is an ambassador for Cybersmile. "Katie will help raise awareness of the issues of cyberbullying and digital abuse affecting so many people around the world, as well as amplifying our messages of hope, support and positivity to empower victims of bullying online." Way to go, Katie!

3. Katie Became Our Black Canary

Katie became our black canary
Look, say what you will, but Katie Cassidy made her mark as our Black Canary. She's the sister of White Canary. She's Dinah Laurel Lance on Earth-1 and Laurel Lance of Earth-2. The outfit suited her.

4. Katie's Gorgeous

Shes gorgeous
Seriously. Look at this photo. How can you NOT crush on Katie? She's so fashionable and intense. Notice how the lighting carves out a mask on her face? Interesting.

5. Katie was a Gossip Girl

Katie was a gossip girl
This site was founded with a lot of love for all things Gossip Girl, and that love included Katie as Juliet Sharp. If there was a cool show out there, Katie was on it!

6. Katie's Smile is Infectious

Katies smile is infectious
Look at the smile on Katie. When she smiles, you want to smile with her. Laurel Lance (deceased) didn't do enough smiling. Let's hope Laurel 2, whether evil or redeemed, does a lot more of it.

Gossip Girl Rewind Review: Greetings, Upper East Siders

It's hard to imagine Gossip Girl will be 10 years old later this year.

We at TV Fanatic are huge fans of the popular CW series and thought it would be a great idea to throw it all the way back to Gossip Girl Season 1 Episode 1 to review it all again from a new perspective.

Serena van der Woodsen Photo

With time passing, TV shows tend to age, but if Gossip Girl managed to somehow cut out all of the cell phone scenes, it would be a timeless series. It's definitely one that will be good to show the younger generation of today how awful cell phones were back then.

That was back when Blockbuster was still a thing, and Netflix did not have TV shows and movies available to stream. If you wanted to rent something, you either had to go to a store or have it mailed to you.

I'm 25-years-old and writing that last part definitely added a few wrinkles and gray hairs.

Okay, let's get to it. It felt so nostalgic watching that first scene, being introduced to Serena and Dan all over again. They may be married now, but boy, did they have a lot of drama in their lives before they got to that point.

There's also the issue with Dan being Gossip Girl now. We'll save that chat for another day, but forgive me for not being on board with it. Logically, it just made no sense.

So, Serena Van Der Woodsen is back on the Upper East Side, which can only mean one thing: Nate Archibald is practically drooling over her, while poor Blair Waldorf can only muster a few eye-rolls as she tried to bed her boyfriend before he found his way back to Serena.

If only she knew neither of them would end up with Nate in the end. Oh, the drama. Blair was desperate to lose her virginity to Nate because she was so worried about him leaving her.

Blair had a reputation for being an Ice Queen, but she went through a lot of crap in her earlier years. Her best friend disappeared without a trace after her, and her life fell apart because of her parents parting ways.

Blair needed Serena, but little did she know Serena had gotten hot and heavy with Nate while Chuck watched from afar. There were some other reasons, which involved drink, drugs, Georgina Sparks and a dead body, but right now we're not meant to know any of that.

Despite Serena trying to befriend Blair, I can't help but feel sorry for Blair. Serena was her best friend, and there was no way she was going to let Serena just immerse herself back into the clique without a fight.

GG 101 Screengrab 2

There's nothing Gossip Girl does better than having Blair and Serena embroiled in crazy power struggles. The two young women had enough wit to give Lorelai and Rory from Gilmore Girls a run for their money.

Throwing it back, it's difficult to watch Chuck. He comes across as such an unlikable dude. And I never expected him to stick around, but as someone who would randomly disappear after appearing only briefly.

Without the very tentative connection between him and Blair, he would not have stuck around for as long as he did.

Pursuing Jenny Humphrey in the manner he did was not cool. I grew to hate Jenny later in the series, but it's certainly refreshing to remember that she was an innocent young girl one day.

How times change.

Chuck: I love freshmen. They're so...
Isabel: Fresh?

Dan and Serena's first date was a resounding failure. I couldn't help but cringe watching the scenes again. The only thing that added a spark to it was the text messages from Jenny to save her.

One thing that will never get old about Gossip Girl is the dialog. All of the zingers being fired around are as quotable as ever.

Serena: So, when's the party?
Blair: Saturday... and you're kinda not invited. Since, until 12 hours ago, we all thought you were at boarding school. And Jenny used up all the invites.
Jenny: Actually..."
Blair: You can go now.

The storylines with the adults were not all that, but we know they heat up pretty quickly, so we'll have plenty to discuss in the coming reviews.

Over to you, Gossip Girl Fanatics. What do you think about the pilot after all this time? Sound off below.

16 Characters We'd Like to See in the Big Brother House

No summer is complete without a new Big Brother season.

What's your favorite part of the season? The competitions? Drama? Funny moments in a stressful and divided house? Sixteen players enter, one emerges victorious after weeks being cut off from the outside world.

Now, what could spice up a show that is entering its nineteenth season? Well, fictional characters, of course!

Whether it be Felicity's (Arrow) intelligence, Juliette's (Nashville) villainous acts of selfishness, or Alex Danvers' lack of friendship skills, these characters below would come together for the ultimate Big Brother summer.

1. Clarke Griffin - The 100

Clarke griffin the 100
If Clarke can survive six years on her own when the world was supposed to come to an end, she can survive a few months in the house. She’d do well at competitions, but what would be more interesting is to see Clarke working toward a goal for herself, since every season of The 100 has her fighting for her people. How will she do when the only one riding on her success is herself?

2. Aria Montgomery - Pretty Little Liars

Aria montgomery pretty little liars
Every season needs a floater, right? Aria isn’t necessarily out of winning the competitions, she’s just not necessarily the most likely to. She’s great at making friends though, so her alliances could get her to the end, and she could even win if she plays the game better than she played A.D.’s board game.

3. Derek Morgan - Criminal Minds

Derek morgan criminal minds
Derek would definitely kill the competition with his physical competitions, and as a past FBI agent, he wouldn’t be so bad with the mental ones, either. Plus, he’s a profiler; no one would get anything past him. And hey, a little eye candy each summer never hurts.

4. Felicity Smoak - Arrow

Felicity smoak arrow
Felicity’s wit and cleverness could really be helpful in the mental challenges that Big Brother has to offer, and even though she may not do as well in the physical competitions, her intelligence could help her with alliances with the stronger players. If she can get along with (and sometimes boss around) Oliver Queen, a fellow player should be no big deal.

5. Blair Waldorf - Gossip Girl

Blair waldorf gossip girl
No one is as sneaky as Blair Waldorf, and no one can manipulate quite like she can. Blair’s game could go either way: she could either be a success and make everyone like her and trick them into keeping her around despite her lackluster competition prowess, or she’ll be found out and her manipulation will get her booted.

6. Cisco Ramon - The Flash

Cisco ramon the flash
Cisco would be one of those players that’s good at everything. He’s not super physical, but since becoming Vibe, he’s had to step up his physical game, while he’s also a very intelligent scientist, and he’d be great with gameplay. Plus, his comedic edge would do wonders with entertainment.

It's crazy to imagine that Gossip Girl premiered almost ten years ago.

It took us into the fabulous lives of a group of teenagers as they lived the high life in New York City under the watchful eye of Gossip Girl who documented their lives.

Now, thanks to Vanity Fair, the cast and crew have spoken out about some big shockers from the show's early days, and we've rounded up the biggest shockers below for you.

If you want to relive trials and tribulations of Serena and her band of fashionable friends, you can watch Gossip Girl online right here via TV Fanatic.

XOXO,

1. Blake Lively Almost Never Signed On

Blake lively almost never signed on
We could not imagine anyone else in the role of Serena, but the actress was initially hesitant to join the series. Lively's work on The Sisterhood of The Traveling Pants.

"We didn't see a lot of other girls for Serena," series creator Josh Schwartz said.

"She has to be somebody that you believe would be sitting in the front row at Fashion Week eventually." Lively later relented after first declining when she was told she could attend Colombia one day a week. It was never put in writing and it sure sounds like Lively did not get to go.

"This is advice to anyone: when they say, 'We promise, but we can't put it in writing,' there's a reason they can't put it in writing," Lively said with a laugh, "But no, the show didn't slow down. It just got more and more."

2. Chace Crawford Did Not Think Leighton Meester Was Right For The Show!

Chace crawford did not think leighton meester was right for the
Leighton Meester was AMAZING as Blair Waldorf, but Chace Crawford seemed to think she was not the right person for the role.

"I just don't see her as Blair Waldorf. I can't see it," he said of Meester. But he saw it immediately when she got into character, thinking, "That girl can act. She's the perfect girl for this."

Schwartz said, "Obviously; Serena had to be blonde. So, [Leighton] went to the sink and dyed her hair. She wanted it."

3. Who Did Meester Originally Audition To Play?

Who did meester originally audition to play
Leighton originally auditioned as Serena, but she managed to convince them she would make a better Blair.

"I think it was just the normal, typical pilot season audition for me. I auditioned and then I tested once and then we did a screen test with everybody. And then, that was it ... I dunno. I got it," she said.

4. Did Leighton and Blake Hate Each Other?

Did leighton and blake hate each other
Like any popular TV series, there are always rumors that there is unrest on the set between the stars.

"When we were filming, there was, 'Leighton hates Blake, Blake hates Leighton, everyone hates Blake, everyone hates Leighton, everyone hates Chace,' and blah, blah, blah. It really wasn't," Michelle Trachtenberg said of the energy on set. "We were all chill. It was cool."

5. Were They BFFs?

Were they bffs
While Leighton and Blake may have gotten along, they were not as close as Serena and Blair.

According to executive producer Joshua Safran, "Blake and Leighton were not friends. They were friendly, but they were not friends like Serena and Blair. The second they'd be on set together, it's as if they were."

6. Why Did Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner Appear?

Why did ivanka trump and jared kushner appear
We already knew that Ivanka was a huge fan of Gossip Girl, but fans were surprised when she actually made an appearance on the show, but why did she take on a role?

"They did it for the money," Schwartz revealed with a laugh. Yes, we're going to bet he's totally kidding.

7 Reasons Veronica Lodge Is Just Like Blair Waldorf

Riverdale and Gossip Girl are two very different shows.

Riverdale is a murder mystery set in the small town of Riverdale while Gossip Girl follows the fashionable teens of New York's elite who are so popular the internet is always talking about them.

However, Riverdale and Gossip Girl have something in common: an icy, fashionable, rule-breaking brunette.

Yes, we're talking about Veronica Lodge and Blair Waldorf. Veronica could totally be a younger Blair Waldorf, fleeing to New York with her mother after something sketchy happens to her family in Riverdale.

1. They're Hot

They are both hot
Both Veronica and Blair know they are hot. They could literally wear anything and it would look great on them. It's no wonder every boy at school wants to be with them.

2. They're Fashionable

The fashion
Soapy dramas are notorious for having the latest trends, and whoever handles the fashion for Veronica Lodge was channeling Blair Waldorf. We're quite alright with that.

3. They Have Business-Minded Mothers

They have business minded mothers
Eleanor has a high flying fashion line. Hermione is looking after her husband's affair while he spends time in the slammer, and has been trying to expand it. Wouldn't you love for these two to meet?

4. They Don't Follow Rules

They dont follow rules
Both Veronica and Blaire are quick to throw snark at whoever thinks they follow rules. These girls are powerful in their respective cliques, so why would they need to follow rules? They can make their own.

5. They Have Daddy Issues

The have daddy issues
Veronica's father is in jail for being a not-so-savory member of society, and Veronica wasn't very pleased about it. Blair's father ditched her mother for another man, and Blair was not pleased about it. We watched Blair go to war with Roman before realizing he was a nice man. We'll meet Veronica's father for the first time on Riverdale Season 2!

6. They Each Have a Blonde-Haired BFF

The each have a blonde haired bff
Veronica's best friend in Riverdale is none other than the beautiful Betty Cooper. Over in New York, Blair's ride-or-die is Serena Van Der Woodsen. They're both blonde and complement their brunette counterparts very well.

Gossip Girl: How It Went From a Ratings Nightmare To A Network Darling

Many don't know the history, but when Gossip Girl premiered in 2007, the ratings were not high, and several TV websites would not have been surprised if the show went the way of the flip phone.

It may have debuted with solid ratings in The CW's key demographics, but it was still seen as one of the network's weaker shows.

GG Poster 2

By the time the 2007 Writers Strike came around, Gossip Girl had produced just 13 out of 22 episodes for Gossip Girl Season 1. With the strike lasting over three months, no new episodes of Gossip Girl were produced.

The episodes the network had to air were slotted in randomly, with the show taking random hiatuses. The biggest break of all was from January until April when there were no installments ready for air.

The CW announced that five more episodes would be made to take Gossip Girl Season 1 up to a total of 18. But there was a catch.

In 2007, networks were starting to offer their shows online to give fans somewhere to catch up if they missed an episode. Because everyone was talking about Gossip Girl, The CW wanted their young viewers to watch the show live.

GG Poster 3

"For these next five weeks the epicenter of the Gossip Girl universe will be on The CW's broadcast television airwaves," said then network president, Dawn Ostroff as she announced the decision to keep future episodes from going online.

On top of that, the network announced the decision to air encores of the episodes on Sunday nights. Yes, I'm showing my age here. The CW actually used to broadcast on Sunday nights.

The network also kept the first 12 episodes of Gossip Girl Season 1 to allow viewers who had heard so much about the show to binge and get caught up on all of the latest developments for one of the TV's most popular shows that did not have high ratings.

But that was not to say Gossip Girl was leaving the online world behind. Instead, the network set up episodic recaps, interviews with the cast and crew, as well as competitions to keep people enthralled by the lives of the Upper East Siders.

The CW needed to find a way make a bigger profit off the show, and by having everyone and their grandmother talking about it, it would help solidify the show as one of the most talked about ones around.

The PTC, however, did not like Gossip Girl, and made that known during 2007 and blasted the show, while branding it the "Worst Show of the Week."

"The CW’s new teen drama Gossip Girl, which airs on Wednesday nights at 9:00 p.m. ET, takes all the foul content from The O.C. while stripping away any of that program’s redeeming features," said their review of the show.

GG Poster 4

The article blasted the portrayal of teens on the show but neglected to mention that it's rare for a teen drama to capture what it's like for a teenager in this day and age.

On top of that, Gossip Girl focused on the privileged kids who resided in New York's Upper East Side, so the reality was always going to be stretched to extremes.

"The depictions of teenage behavior in this episode were mind-blowingly inappropriate on any network at any time."

"This program exhibits Hollywood’s concept of appropriate behavior for youth. The show further promotes the hedonistic, irresponsible lifestyle that is captivating our country through pseudo-celebrities like Paris Hilton."

"For its careless portrayal of teen drinking, sexual conduct, and drug use, Gossip Girl is our pick for Worst of the Week," the article concluded.

With The CW trying its best to bring attention to the series, it decided to spin it into the type of press that it could use to promote the series.

Have a look at the poster below.

Gossip Girl PTC Poster

It finds Nate Archibald in bed with a much older woman on Gossip Girl Season 2 Episode 1 after embarking on a Summer affair in The Hamptons.

The "Mind-Blowingly Inappropriate" part is very clearly credited to the Parent Television Council.

This was the network's way of sticking the proverbial middle finger up at them and saying, "Look, we know you hate us, but thanks for the publicity."

It was a stroke of genius, and it kept the conversation going all through the Summer right up until the show returned with record ratings in key young women demographics.

Paired with One Tree Hill, it was almost like both shows were helping each other. Both were on the plus side as opposed to their previous seasons and made the young network a force to be reckoned with on Monday nights.

Obviously, the ratings were still not as high as the other four networks, but they were higher where it mattered: The younger demographics.

It's crazy, but back then, The CW was targeting Women 18-34, and shows such as Supernatural and Smallville were seen as expendable and were moved to Friday nights.

Like all hit shows, Gossip Girl started losing ratings ground as the years went on. It still rated well with females until Gossip Girl Season 4. But it started falling quickly when Gossip Girl Season 5 rolled around.

When the female focused dramas started to flat line, the network realized it was time to cater to both males and females 18-34, and that marked the end of Gossip Girl, and the network went on to launch its DC TV slate.

All told, Gossip Girl went from a ratings lull to a hit and part of that has got to be attributed to The CW's relentless promotion of it. With the Writers Strike, the show could have very easily disappeared.

But the network was not ready to give up, and it blossomed into a hit. It just goes to show what some relentless promotion can do to make a show a success. Will the same thing happen for Dynasty, which comes from the people who brought us Gossip Girl?

Time will tell.

Gossip Girl in 2017: 10 Things That Would Be Different If GG Aired Now

$

0

It’s hard to believe it’s been 10 years since The CW introduced us to Serena, Blair, Nate, Chuck, Dan and all of their respective (and sometimes intertwined) families. And a lot has changed.

When the drama premiered on Sept. 19, 2007, Twitter was barely a thing and Instagram was still years away (THE HORROR!). The most popular cellphone was an a blackberry or an EnV. People used “T9 word” to text as fast as they could and the concept of a blog was still an original idea.

So what would our beloved GG be like if it premiered in today’s world? Check out the list below and add your own theories in the comments. XOXO!

1. Fashion Trends

Fashion trends

One of Blair’s most memorable pieces of fashion advice was “tights are not pants.” However, in 2017 when people wear leggings daily (except for the days they don’t even bother to wear pants!), she might have had a change of tune.

Speaking of Queen B, would her iconic headbands still be a thing in 2017? Or would her minions wear chokers as a sign of power? As for the Constance Billard uniforms, I could see Serena and Blair rocking bomber jackets instead of blazers with their school logo.

2. Dating Apps

Dating apps

Chuck Bass would LOVE Tinder. And Bumble. And Coffee Meets Bagel. And maybe even Grindr? If this many dating apps existed in 2007, Blair may have never gotten Chuck to settle down. He could also retire his little black book and expect even more women to show up at his “lost weekend.”

The ladies could also benefit from dating apps. Remember when Serena’s friends had to post on Gossip Girl to find her a date to the masked ball? Or when Jenny dated Asher, who was secretly gay, just to have a boyfriend? Dating apps would definitely have changed the game on the UES.

3. Social Media: Snapchat

Social media snapchat

There are so many ways social media could change Gossip Girl. First of all, the anonymous blogger’s job would be even easier if she could just track everyone’s location on Snap Maps instead of waiting for pictures from sources like "Melanie91."

Plus, Serena’s mystery boarding school location would be solved in a snap… see what I did there? And the Met Steps would totally have a geotag.

4. Social Media: Instagram

Social media instagram

Jenny would still be a fashion designer if the show aired today, but she would sell her clothes on Instagram with Bachelor contestants and “social media influencers” modeling for her. And once she hit it big, Kendall Jenner and Gigi Hadid would take over and she would finally be the it-girl she always wanted to be.

Also, Rufus and his waffles would definitely have a food Insta. #RufusEats #BrooklynEats #Waffles #WafflesForLife

5. The iPhone

The iphone

Gossip Girl’s deal with LG would definitely switch to Apple if the show aired today because there’s no way Manhattan’s elite wouldn’t be carrying around iPhones. And you know Blair, Serena, Chuck and Nate would all have preordered the iPhone X, while Dan and Jenny would be rocking an iPhone 5 for the majority of the series.

There is also a possibility Gossip Girl blasts would just be tweets or Instagram stories with links to the full site if everyone had an iPhone (or if the cast just had smartphones to begin with!)

6. Uber

Uber
Chuck Bass and his limo go together like Serena van der Woodsen and her low-cut tops, but if the show was on in 2017, his limo might just be an Uber Black Car. And imagine how funny it could be to put Blair in an accidental UberPool with tourists or “regular people.”

Happy anniversary, Gossip Girl! In honor of The CW series turning 10— the first episode premiered on Sept. 19, 2007— it’s time to revisit some of the most memorable episodes in the show’s history that left you saying “OMFG.”

Starting sipping on a Martini and grab your minions friends, and get ready to celebrate and re-fall in love with the glamorous lives of Manhattan’s elite.

1. Pilot

Pilot

Someone saw Serena getting off the train at Grand Central... and life was never the same. After running away to boarding school, Serena van der Woodsen returns to the Upper East Side to try and win back her best friend/ queen bee Blair Waldorf and repair her relationship with her family.

Enter lonely boy Dan Humphrey (and his sister Little J), brooding Nate Archibald, bad boy Chuck Bass and an anonymous blogger tracking their every move and it’s only a matter of time before the drama unfolds at the ‘Kiss on the Lips’ party.

2. Victor/Victrola

Victor slash victrola
Blair’s got moves, and she’s ready to show them to... Chuck. Following a disastrous dinner between the Waldorf’s and Archibald’s, we see Queen B like we never have before when she visits Chuck at his new night club and then in his limo.

3. Blair Waldorf Must Pie, The Magnificent Archibald’s, The Treasure of Serena Madre, Gaslit, It’s Really Complicated

Every thanksgiving episode blair waldorf must pie the magnificen
Thanksgiving on the Upper East Side = major drama. Highlights from the annual holiday episodes include flashbacks to life on the UES before Serena went to boarding school, Nate’s father being arrested by the FBI and dinner guests exchanging insults and revealing secrets about each other (cue Jason DeRulo’s “Whatcha Say”).

4. Hi, Society!

Hi society
There’s nothing like a party on the Upper East Side— and the debutante ball is no exception. Dan and Serena face their biggest challenge yet, Serena’s grandmother Cece, while Blair tries to juggle Nate and Chuck, and Jenny tries to juggle her family life in Brooklyn and her desire to find her place on the UES.

5. Woman on the Verge

Woman on the verge
Blackmail! Cocaine! And murder?! Georgina Sparks (played by Michelle Trachtenberg) just might be the best villain to ever take on S and B over the years, and nothing beats her initial return into Serena’s life just before the first season finale. The non-judging breakfast club rallies together to stand up for Serena and get to the bottom of his messy web Georgina is spinning.

6. Summer Kind of Wonderful

Summer kind of wonderful

The group travels to the Hamptons to kick off Season 2 and the drama has higher stakes than ever. Contrary to popular belief, Nate is sleeping with an older/married woman and NOT Serena.

And Dan goes to his first white party to learn the truth the hard way. Plus, who could forget the beginning of Chuck and Blair’s countdown to “I love you?” Three words, eight letters...

Gossip Girl: 13 Most Memorable Music Moments

$

0

Gossip Girl is often associated with iconic fashion, scandal and New York City, but one of the more underrated elements of the series was its use of music.

However, it should come as no surprise to fans that The CW drama had an iconic soundtrack, because it was developed for TV by Josh Schwartz, the same man who gave us classic TV music moments for years on The OC.

Whether it's a steamy sex scene on a bus back from the Hamptons or a heartfelt confession from Chuck to Blair, here's the most memorable music moments from Gossip Girl's six seasons.

1. Peter Bjorn and John ft. Victoria Bergsman’s “Young Folks”

Peter bjorn and john ft victoria bergsmans young folks
The whistles that started it all. Gossip Girl’s pilot episode opened with Serena van der Woodsen returning to New York City to “Young Folks.” It’s nearly impossible not to get the upbeat tune stuck in your head after you hear it, and it takes you right back to Grand Central Station when Dan Humphrey (and the rest of the Upper East Side) #spotted S for the first time in a year.

2. The Bravery’s "Believe"

The braverys believe
Serena and Nate’s secret is out and everyone is dealing with the aftermath at the end of “The Wild Brunch,” and The Bravery’s “Believe” raises the dramatic stakes. And while it makes no sense for S to throw her phone out (couldn’t she have just changed her number?), the moment remains legendary.

3. Sean Kingston’s “Beautiful Girls”

Sean kingstons beautiful girls
Nothing screams 2007 like Sean Kingston and a digital camera! Plus, as Gossip Girl herself says in “Bad News Blair,” “Serena and Blair: they do besties better than anyone” and this song acts as an appropriate backdrop for their reunion.

4. Sum 41's "With Me"

Sum 41 s with me
“I don’t wait this moment to ever end…” and neither did Chair fans. Sum 41 provided the perfect soundtrack to Chuck and Blair’s first (and now infamous) hookup in the back of Chuck’s limo in “Victor/Victrola.” The moment was Gossip Girl at its best— shocking, steamy and (now) sentimental.

5. The Pierces’ “Secret”

The pierces secret
Before “Secret” was the theme song to Pretty Little Liars, it was performed by The Pierces at Blair and Serena’s debutante ball in the episode “Hi, Society.” And just like the ladies of Rosewood, Manhattan’s elite has their fair share of secrets, so it only makes sense they danced to it at one of the biggest parties of the year.

6. Nicole Scherzinger’s “Happily Never Ever”

Nicole scherzingers happily never ever
When they weren’t exchanging insults or fighting with field hockey sticks, S and B really had each other’s backs. One of the most genuine friendship moments between the ladies was when Serena stopped Blair from running away to Paris in “The Thin Line Between Chuck and Nate,” and the lead singer of The Pussycat Dolls’ provided beautiful vocals for a beautiful moment.

Dynasty Adds Gossip Girl Star Kelly Rutherford in Key Role

A former Gossip Girl star is reuniting with Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage to appear on Dynasty.

According to TV Line, Kelly Rutherford is slated to appear as a character named Melissa Daniels on an upcoming episode of the sudsy primetime drama.

Kelly Rutherford Attends Event

The 49-year-old will play Melissa Daniels, a woman who would like everyone to think her marriage to a powerful senator is perfect, but in reality, it is nothing more than a facade.

The report indicates that the story will hit home for Cristal and will make her think about what can go wrong with marrying men who are at the top of their game.

This casting news will also mark a reunion between Kelly and Dynasty's leading man, Grant Show. Both stars appeared together on the original iteration of Melrose Place for several years.

Kelly Rutherford Poses

Rutherford previously worked with executive producers Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage on Gossip Girl in which she played Lily Van Der Woodsen.

She appeared in all seven seasons of the teen drama and was part of some of the show's juiciest storylines.

Since Gossip Girl came to a close in 2012, Rutherford has appeared in the likes of Bones, Quantico and Jane the Virgin

Dynasty launched last month on The CW to middling reviews and mediocre ratings. Dynasty Season 1 is currently averaging 0.9 million viewers and a 0.3 rating.

Kelly R. is Back

However, The CW confirmed last week that Dynasty had received a full season order, while fellow freshman Valor would be ending its season after 13 episodes.

Despite the ratings, Dynasty has a lucrative streaming deal with Netflix which finds the show added to the streaming service in every territory that is not the U.S. just hours after it airs on The CW.

CW boss, Mark Pedowitz confirmed before the series even debuted that the network was already making a profit because of the deal, so it should be safe for as long as money is being made.
